Winter School in Mathematics for Women Students

Objectives of Winter School

IWM in association with Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) is organising a winter school in March 2021 in hybrid mode. All the resource persons will join through virtual mode. A limited audience (only from jaipur) will be physically present at Manipal University Jaipur with the necessary Covid-19 precautions being undertaken. A larger audience will be able to participate through online mode.

This is a one week programme intended to benefit the students studying in second year of B.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. and having Mathematics as one of the major subjects/courses, during the academic year 2020-21.The programme will however, have a special focus on women participants. The aim is to encourage and support large scale participation of women. In a period of one week, this programme shall aim to provide young students a broader exposure to reasoning through logical steps to achieve critical mathematical thinking, apart from problem solving skills in the areas specified.
